Often if you look at a particularly successful young professional’s resume, you will find a listing for Strathmore’s Who’s Who List for a particular locality right next to his or her ivy league degree, volunteer service accomplishments, and sports or club accomplishments. It is curious, to many who are not familiar with it, why Strathmore’s Who’s Who List should receive such attention and merit such an honorable position on a resume.
Strathmore’s Who’s Who List is so venerable, at least in part because it is so exclusive. It may be an exhaustive listing, certainly the most expansive of its kind, but it is still pretty exclusive in the grand scheme of things. You must be nominated and then many professionals still aren’t listed in Strathmore’s, because not everyone can be.
Strathmore’s Who’s Who List is published each years in around two-thousand pages. It is a comprehensive report on the most successful young professionals in various industries—like Business, the Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Government, and Law. The list’s purpose is to put the spotlight on up and coming professionals in various industries. Professionals in middle to upper level management are prime targets for being named in the list. If a local engineering firm in Witchita, Kansas, wants to hire the best talent in the local industry—they will often look to Strathmore’s Who’s Who for help finding prospects.
